Francesca joined Blue Heron in 2017 as a Research Associate. Previously, she was a fellow at The Trace, an independent news publication covering gun violence. Francesca has a BA in communications and psychological science from John Cabot University and an MS in journalism from Columbia Graduate School of Journalism. She is a native Italian speaker.
