NEW YORK—Scott Nussbaum has joined Blue Heron Research Partners as the company’s first Chief Compliance Officer. Scott brings a wealth of experience to the team, having most recently served as Director of Operations and Senior Compliance Officer for Cross Shore Capital Management, LLC, where he oversaw the firm’s daily operations, managed its compliance program and ran the operational due diligence function for eight years. Scott designed and implemented Cross Shore’s compliance policies, procedures, controls, training and internal reviews. Previously, in his career, Scott spent nearly a decade in front office investment management roles, including equity research and portfolio management.

Blue Heron has always placed an unwavering emphasis on compliance. As the company has grown rapidly over the last few years and expanded into Europe, we’ve made it a priority to embed compliance into every step of our process and maintain a rigorous compliance culture. The addition of Scott to the team will ensure that our compliance program strengthens and grows along with the business. In his new role, Scott will further develop important procedures and institutionalize our business to make sure that compliance remains at the core of our success.
